Tapped to create a series of animations for a London College of Fashion event, Territory worked in close collaboration with Alphabetical to craft a stunning graphic interpretation of excellence, innovation and breadth of vision.
Using Alphabetical’s range of bespoke icons (inspired by pattern cutting designs with each one representing a course at LCF) as a starting point, Territory devised five narrative concepts to bring them to life on screen.
Beautifully choreographed to an original track by sound designer Tim Cowie, the icons transform from static symbols suspended on a strict grid to free flowing organic forms – their dynamic transformation a poignant reference to the creative craft of fashion itself.
Designed to tie in with an event installation and serve online, the abstract narratives in black and white visualise five different themes: ‘transparent environments’, ‘kinetic cultures’, ‘evolving innovation’, ‘disruptive enterprises’ and ‘connected societies.
